 <method>A 1 to 15 volume ratio mixture of water and 1,2-dichloropropane was introduced into an equilibration flask and then lowered into the waterbath thermostat. The assembly was shaken mechanically for about 90 minutes at constant temperature. The amount of water in the organic phase was determined by a modified Karl Fischer titration. The determination was done in triplicate. The description of procedure was taken from a secondary source [1]. The original university report is no longer available.</method>
